Terms
Last updated: 6 November 2026
These terms cover your use of EditWithChat (the “app”) and this website. By buying or using the app you agree to them.
Your license
You pay once and get a personal license to use the app on the number of Macs shown at checkout (currently 1), including to make videos for your own business or clients. You can move a license to another Mac by deactivating it in Settings → License. You may not resell, share or publish your license key, or reverse-engineer the license check.
What you need
EditWithChat edits with Claude, an AI model from Anthropic. You bring your own Claude plan or API key, and Anthropic’s terms apply to that use. You also need an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 13 or later. Anthropic’s usage limits or pricing can change what editing costs you; that is outside our control.
Your videos
Your footage and the videos you make are yours. They stay on your Mac. You are responsible for having the right to edit and publish the material you use, including reference videos you add to a template (the app copies how a video is edited, not its footage, words or music) and downloads from third-party platforms, which may have their own rules.
What your video depends on
The finished video depends on the template you choose and on how you chat with Claude. The same footage can come out differently with another template or another instruction. EditWithChat does not promise a particular cut, caption, or look. Watch the result before you publish it.
Videos on this website
The videos on this website are examples, shown for illustration only. They show the kind of video you can create with EditWithChat. They are not your footage, and they are not a promise that your video will match those examples frame for frame.
Refunds
The license key and the download are delivered as soon as you pay, so purchases are final. We don’t offer refunds for a change of mind or an unused license. A duplicate charge, or a charge that never produced a license key, is corrected. The full policy is on the refund page. Payments are handled by Dodo Payments.
No warranty and limits
AI editing can make mistakes, such as misheard captions or a cut in the wrong place. Always review a video before you publish it. The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid.
Updates and changes
We may update the app and these terms. Material changes to the terms will be dated here.
